Our Mascot

Casper’s Sadie Blue

“Sadie”

AKC Champion Bloodlines

AKC TR38181902

Blue with White Markings

2 lbs. 12 oz.

Sadie is wearing an exclusive designer necklace from

The Bling Bling Boutique.

Sadie is my little darling.  She is only 2.75 lbs, full grown.

She was never given the opportunity to be a mom, she is just

too small.  Teddy, our male is Sadie’s brother.  Sadie spends

her days lounging on a pillow on my desk while I work

or follows me around while I do chores.  She also loves

to play with the puppies and teach them what to do and

what not to.  Even though  she has never been a mom she

helps clean and care for all the puppies daily.  Sadie

loves to help the puppies when old enough learn how to

walk on a leash.  Sadie, is all girl, she loves to sit for the

camera.  Look at how she loves to pose.  Her favorite thing

to do is go bye bye and go shopping.  Each day before my husband

goes to the gym Sadie hops in my husband’s gym bag and tries to stowaway.

Most Beautiful at

The National Dog Day Dog Show

August 26, 2007

National Dog Day serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. Dogs put their lives on the line every day - for their law enforcement partner, for their blind companion, for a child who is disabled, for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage, saving their lives and often grieving the dead and dying they cannot save.

National Dog Day's founder, dog trainer and animal advocate, Colleen Paige, felt it was time to honor dogs more than we currently do, to give them "a day", to show deep appreciation for our long connection to each other - for their endearing patience, unquestioning loyalty, for their work, their capacity for love and their ability to impact our lives everyday in the most miraculous ways. National Dog Day wishes to encourage dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure - and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse-free life.

National Dog Day created by the Animal Miracle Foundation (AMF)

AMF is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) national animal advocacy  organization founded in 2004. AMF's mission is to advocate for the protection of domestic and wild animals from cruelty and neglect. During Hurricane Katrina, AMF (then called the National Dog Day Foundation) helped in the rescue efforts by providing to shelters receiving displaced pets -  kennels for over 1,000 animals ...most notably to the Mobile Alabama SPCA. We also provided hundreds of pounds of "red ant" killer and flea control to protect the animals. Additionally we provided clothing, food and toiletry supplies to several make-shift human shelters, including the Humane Society of Central Louisiana, where 20 families with pets had evacuated to.

Currently we are in the early stages of creating a no-kill animal sanctuary on the Monterey coast of California, where abandoned and abused wild and domestic animals can receive the medical and emotional assistance they deserve to live out their lives in as much peace and happiness as possible. Our programs include multiple national holidays to facilitate the adoption of thousands of homeless animals and wildlife across the nation each year, a FEMA aligned program to build a safety net around pets and their people in times of disaster and teaching children to be compassionate toward all living things.

National Dog Day will be many a dog’s birthday and for all of them it will be a “ K9- 4th of July!” Even citizens who are not dog owners will be encouraged to donate $5 to their local shelter on National Dog Day.

You can be directly responsible for saving a life... not just one life - over 15,000 of them by being a sponsor or volunteer.

It is a Trademark Infringement to use the words "National Dog Day 2007" or any combination thereof in the title of your event. If you will have an event in recognition of National Dog Day, please create a unique name for your event and add on "in celebration (or recognition) of National Dog Day!"

Thank you.
